Working as a coach has made me hyperaware of just how many people suffer from a lack of confidence at one time or another, and also how paralysing it can be. In fact, I’d say it has reared it’s ugly little head at some point with 95% of the clients I’ve worked with, even when they’ve originally approached me to work on something seemingly unrelated.
Make no mistake, how we feel about our abilities has very little to do with how capable we actually are. David Bowies, Albert Einstein, Kate Winslet, Sheryl Sandberg – these are not names you would associate with underachievers. Yet all of them (and countless, countless more) have spoken about being plagued with self-doubt at one time or another.
I recently wrote an article on this very subject, and how the solution to boosting your self-confidence often lies in six little words. If you’d like to find out what they are, just click here.
